This paper discussed the results of FC-72 flow boiling heat transfer in a
minichannel of: 1.7 mm depth, 16 mm width and 180 mm length. The minichannel was
set with seven spatial orientations: 0 , 30 , 60 , 90 , 120 , 150 , 180 . The heated element
for FC-72 flowing in a minichannel was the Haynes-230 alloy plate enhanced by
vibration-assisted laser texturing. Infrared thermography allowed to determine changes in
the temperature on the outer smooth side of the plate in the central, axially symmetric part
of the channel. The study employed heat transfer analysis and results regarding local heat
transfer coefficient, and boiling curves were constructed. The impact of the channel
position and mass flow velocity on the heat transfer coefficient were discussed.
