Abstract:

The term flexibility is related to the technological development of a product, and a frequent shift production rate. However, an investment in flexibility is a serious financial burden for many companies. This is why the manufacturer system providers seek for a new designing system solutions of required flexibility at moderate cost. There is an idea of constructing a flexible system suitable for current manufacturing cycle, and adjustable for the future product development. An increased interest among new enterprises confirms the significance of this concept for flexible automation.
