The investigations into the hydromechanical bulge forming involved the use of steel tubes at the relative ratio s(o)/D = 0.05 (where s(o) is the wall thickness). The experimental results of bulge forming of one-sided steel (T-pipes) and two-sided skewed pipe connections are presented. The paper gives the comparison of the force waveforms and the pressure changes obtained with different alpha = 45 degrees; 60 degrees; 90 degrees (where alpha denotes the branching angle between the pipe branch and the pipe body) for T-pipes. Besides force waveforms, pressure changes in one-sided and two-sided skewed pipe connection (at alpha= 70 degrees and d/D = 0.9) are presented. The analysis of wall thickness distribution in one-sided connections was made. On the basis of the analysis, it was found out that the character of changes in the connection thickness was similar, although the upsetting ratio increased.
The technological parameters (liquid pressure, axial loading) were determined, which may provide guidelines when the method is implemented into production.
