The article analyzes the thermodynamic conditions for long-term storage of hydrates and proposes a method for calculating the main thermodynamic parameters that ensure long-term stability of the structure of gas hydrates. A criterion for optimizing thermodynamic parameters and heat and mass transfer parameters for the effective implementation of new technology is proposed. The characteristics of various gas hydrates under selfpreservation conditions have been determined. The developed mathematical model of the stability of gas hydrates made it possible to determine the optimal thermodynamic conditions in the gas storage and the thermal resistance of its wall. For example, the thermal resistance of the structure is 0.38 (m2·°C)/W, showing the possibility of using standard lightweight structures for various climatic conditions. Using the proposed calculation methodology and applying the given method, it is possible to determine the optimal thickness of the thermal insulation of a tent for storing hydrates.
