Abstract:

Landslide movements, both of natural and technogenic or antropegenic origins are a growing global problem. Monitoring of these movements can contribute to the development of systems warning against their intensification. Surveying methods are important solutions applied in this type of monitoring. Advances in monitoring technologies have led to the development of comprehensive techniques of measuring the state of landslides. These measurements provide input for the development of surveying data bases which are a fundamental source in analyzing the behavior of areas threatened by landslides. The paper presents the research results concerning the area of Kadzielnia in Kielce. The site protected because of its geological values, paleontological qualities and landscape attributes bears the marks of changes caused by landslides. The paper stresses the complementary nature of the results obtained using various surveying techniques and to the possible use of the data for the protection against the emerging threats.
