The paper presents investigations into heat transfer on non-isothermal fin surface. It is assumed that the flux dissipated from the fin lateral surface depends on temperature which can be written as a power series. In experimental investigations, three copper ribs were examined. One fin had smooth
surface, and the other two were covered with a single and double layer of mesh structure. The results are presented in the form of a local boiling curve. Mesh microstructure deposited on the fin surface has anisotropic properties, shown in varied thermal conductivity, different in the direction
perpendicular and parallel to the layer. It was estimated that conductivity was 102.6 W/mK in the direction parallel to the surface, and 72.2 W/mK in the direction perpendicular to the surface. The two-dimensional heat transfer problem was solved numerically. A considerable superheat fall over the
height of mesh structure was noted.
