Abstract:

The aim of the article is to present the role and perspectives of data engineering in the Digital transformation (DT) of 21st century organisations. Exponentially growth of gathered data is the inherent feature of development of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) employed in organisations. The emerging role of data engineering in the organisation development creates market demand for a new kind of specialist. Author introduces The Big data value chain matrix model to classify possible entrepreneurship perspectives, both internal and external.
