Abstract: Building inspections include thermal aspects in order to determine the excessive thermal bridges and thereby lower the heat demand. The examinations can be conducted by means of thermal imaging techniques. The paper presents the analysis of hand-held and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) infrared camera during research on public building in Kielce, Poland. The obtained results were compared with each other, which allowed for a detailed comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of both technologies. The temperature distribution along the chosen glass partition presents the same tendency no matter the camera. However, due to the distance and several other aspects, the results received by means of hand-held camera seem to be more reliable
