The aim of this study was to evaluate the mobility of heavy metals in sewage sludge from different wastewater treatment plants in Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship. Stabilized SS from the wastewater treatment plant was analyzed in accordance with the extraction method proposed by the Community Bureau of Reference. It should be strongly emphasized that organometallics and aluminosilicates constitute the most prevalent forms of heavy metals in sewage sludge. The results for stabilized sewage sludge confirmed a trend observed in HMs concentration in the immobile fractions. It should be noted that HMs immobilized in the fraction F-III, may pose a potential hazard to soil.
