Abstract:

The paper presents the results of a technological clearance in a model of pin joint connection made in additive PolyJet technology involving photocuring liquid polymer resins. The aim of the study was to estimate the possibility of using additive PolyJet Matrix technology to build components of a pin joint, which require the appropriate type of fit. The paper presents the results of measurement of a typical pin joint connection designed with a set technological clearance. The scope of the research included measurement of the diameter, roundness, cylindricity and straightness deviation, determination technological clearance and compare these values to CAD model. Specimens in the form of a bolt and sleeve was „printed” of polymer resin FullCure 720. Specimens „printing” process ran in a plane perpendicular and parallel to their axis. Specimens have been "printed" in two types of program „high quality” and „high speed” in which the parameters changed were layer thickness and the printing direction of the model. The study confirms the need to take into account in the design process both layer thickness and the printing direction to the appropriate mapping built models of a pin joint connection elements.
